Oh right and technically there's also "World of Final Fantasy" which is an RPG with monster raising. It's pretty cute and is basically Pokemon. (PS4)
And technically "Nights of Azure" has monster raising but is a musou game. (A la Dynasty Warriors) (PS4)
There's also a Dragon Quest version of musou games on (Wii U / PS4) where you can raise monsters but I wasn't too impressed with it.

If what you want is monster breeding, the "Dragon Quest Joker" series is pretty amazing. ( 3DS) I actually broke the L button on my DSi playing the first one too much haha.
Or if you're into retro gaming, the "Dragon Quest Monsters" series on (GB/GBC/GBA) is fun too.
"Digimon World" releases a new instalment every couple of years, "Next Order" being the newest and it's pretty cool. Only thing you need to make sure they sleep and go to the bathroom. (PS Vita - PS4)
"Digimon" also has more RPG like series like the "Cyber Sleuth" game. (PS Vita - PS4)
As for basic farming and exploring, this one is hard to find now a days, but "Innocent Life" on (PS2) was pretty fun. No combat and no dating though.
There is also a ton of "Harvest Moon" games, these really depend on the time they came out. The earlier Harvest Moon games were frustrating since they had time limits (PS1). The newest Harvest Moon games are more like Minecraft and feel really lacking. (New 3DS) So anything in between is not too bad, but I always found Rune Factory to keep my attention much longer than Harvest Moon. If you have a (Wii) though, the Harvest Moons on there are pretty decent.
On (Steam) there's 2 farming games worth mentioning. The first being "Stardew Valley", which a lot of people already heard of. There there's "World's Dawn" which isn't as polished as Stardew but still worth playing if you already played Stardew to death.
Then there is the obvious most amazing "Rune Factory" series, 3 and 4 being the bests of the instalments (I personally find anyway. (3DS / Wii) There is also RF Tides of destiny on (PS3) but it's a little lacking I find. Still worth playing though.
The Rune Factory series took the monster raising and farming and combat and smooch them all together. I think I must have put in over 300 hrs on Rune Factory 4, my poor 3Ds. haha

I totally agree with Fiddlesticks, Monster Hunter Stories is out a few days now and it's a lot of fun, in my opinion :) Thanks for the Rune Factory 4 tip, I'm going to check this game out ;)

to back up what someone in this thread said already: i cannot recommend rune factory 4 enough!! it has many aspects this game will have, you farm, tame and level up monsters to fight with you (there's no evolving though), and has an excellent cast of characters and a wonderful story to boot. it's my absolute favorite 3ds game so if you're itching to get some of the stuff this game promises to offer already, rf4 is a great start. unfortunately theres very little avatar customization outside of gender, but it's probably exactly what you're looking for!

My Switch is doing a good job of keeping me occupied. There's a steady stream of good games, so it doesn't get dull. Then on top of that I play league and various steam games.

I am still wondering that I did not read of Ni No Kuni anywhere. A real wonderful game and it will get its sequel in January.

Slime rancher is really fun you can find it on steam, it's about raising slimes in a space ranch, it's really cute and addicting, Yonder is nice too i didn't play much yet but it's a bit like a Zelda breath of the wild mixed with something like animal crossing/stardew i think it's worth the try.
And if you ever feel tired of this kind of cute games and feel like kicking some ass join us on Overwatch ^^

I'd recommend similar games to what Re:Legend is, closest I can think of is the Rune Factory series on the DS and 3DS. Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon are good as well for the farming aspect. Pokemon games are good for evolving monsters and raising them.
